Wednesday, 9th August, 10am – 12noon

Having worked as a newsreader and journalist for many years, Tracey Spicer is one of Australia’s most recognised and respected media personalities. Not one to shy away from standing up for her convictions, once ‘Good Girl’ Tracey, was not about to back down without a fight when she was sacked via email while on maternity leave.

As a mother of two and someone whose career has centered around telling stories and educating people on the many inequities in our society, who better than Tracey to pull back the curtains and expose the harsh realities of being a woman in a notoriously male-dominated work environment.

With the recent launch of her new book, ‘The Good Girl Stripped Bare’, it’s the perfect time to join us for a beautiful brunch with Tracey at Centennial Homestead. You are guaranteed to be entertained and inspired as we hear how she was forced to remove her good girl shackles for both herself and the future equality of all women.

ABOUT TRACEY SPICER

Having worked as a newsreader and journalist for 30 years, Tracey Spicer is one of Australia’s most recognised and respected media personalities. Renowned for the courage of her convictions, passion for social justice and commitment to equality, Tracey also has a wonderfully wicked sense of humour.

In addition to reporting and anchoring national news, current affairs and lifestyle programs for ABC TV, Network Ten, Channel 9 and Sky News, Tracey is also a weekly columnist for News Ltd, and a published author. Her book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, hit the shelves in April this year.

She is a highly sought after key note speaker, and through her successful company Spicer Communications, Tracey is a presentation and media trainer, helping hundreds of people from CEOs to aspiring TV anchors.

A tireless charity worker, Tracey is Ambassador for many organisations including World Vision, ActionAid, the Garvan Institute, the Cancer Council just to name a few.

When she finished working at Network Ten in 2006, it sparked a nationwide debate about the rights of women returning to the workforce after maternity leave. Her TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has attracted more than 1.2 million views.

Despite all the successes and amazing highlights of her career, without doubt her greatest achievement and her favourite job at all is being mum to her two beautiful children.
