Tech, Tunes and Tantrums!

Join us for a beautiful brunch and gorgeous morning out for YOU at Centennial Homestead with our expert parenting panel Dr Kristy Goodwin, Dr Anita Collins and Dr Fiona Martin, hosted by Kidspot’s Melissa Wilson.

Just when you thought you’d made it through the baby chapter relatively unscathed, you’re hit with toddler tantrums, stubborn three year olds, argumentative four year olds and an influx of outside influences that complicate matters even more! Sometimes a few insights and tips from people in the know is all it takes to reassure you that you’ve got this and you WILL get through it, sanity and child still in one piece.

Note: The Green Elephant is creating a space at the event with their qualified educators to guide your little humans to explore and create. Your children will be able to immerse themselves in the world of The Green Elephant, inspiring their young minds to create, discover and become whoever they want to be for the day – while you get to relax!

Our expert parenting panel are here to help you navigate the modern-day dilemmas of raising kids!

Dr Kristy

Love it or loathe it, technology is here to stay – and with it comes the all too familiar modern parenting question, ‘How much is too much when it comes to screen time?’ Dr Kristy Goodwin is a mum of two and knows all too well the techno tantrums that come with trying to wrangle devices off children! Far from laying down the law, Dr Kristy will give you her best tips for ditching the techno-guilt so you can raise happy, healthy kids who thrive both online and off.

Dr Anita Collins

An award-winning educator, researcher and writer in the area of music learning and brain development, Dr Anita Collins is well known and highly respected for her work in the field. Anita is also a children’s book author and authored one of the most watched TED Education films ever made. She is a Churchill Fellow and her TEDx Canberra talk has been viewed over 100,000 times!

Dr Fiona Martin

Child psychologist and founder of Sydney Child Psychology Centre, Dr Fiona Martin is known for her practical approach to parenting. Specialising in educational and developmental psychology, she works closely with young children, adolescents and adults and has a special interest in the social functioning of young people with ASD.
